People who eat excessive amounts of red meat have a much higher risk of colorectal cancer. Seafood and white meat poultry eaters do not. And soy-based  burgers (like Morningstar Farms Grillers) are protein rich. Check the label. Grain or veggie based burgers, like garden-burgers, have less than 10 grams of protein. You need more protein than that to make your meal more sustainable. Veggie burgers have more salt than ground beef, but at least you don’t have to worry about food poisoning from E. Coli.
